West Dorset is an ideal place for those who enjoy the great outdoors. Walkers are well catered for and Cerne Abbas is but a stones throw from The Wessex Ridgeway. Country sports enthusiasts have a veritable feast of chalk stream fishing at their finger tips and the local sporting estates are some of the finest in the country. The Southern Counties Shooting ground is possibly the best facility of its type in England which also incorporates an excellent Go Carting track. Most of the coast is reachable within a half hours drive and the various market towns and villages offer a good standard of retail therapy.
